The luxurious hotel Château des Fines Roches was built in the 19th Century by Auguste Constantin. The castle has a unique architecture; a blend of neo-medieval features with some Provençal touches. Auguste’s son in law, the Marquis de Baroncelli, brought the Provençal cultural elite to the Château, which became a place of gathering for local poets. Today the Château is a haven of peace and relaxation for those who wish to enjoy the village and wines of Châteuneuf-du-Pape and experience the best of what the area has to offer.
Location
Château des Fines Roches is located at the heart of the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards. Its hilltop location offers stunning views over the surrounding countryside. The castle is just a 20 minute drive from Avignon and is a great base to explore the Southern-Rhône area, including the main sights of Avignon, Orange or the Pont du Gard amongst others.

The hotel boasts a great range of facilities including a lovely terrace and outdoor swimming pool to make the most of the sunny weather. The on-site gastronomic restaurant, run by Chef Hugo Loridan Fombonne, showcases regional seasonal products in a range of innovative dishes. The restaurant also offers a fantastic selection of Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines from neighbouring vineyards including many sought-after vintages.
Rooms
The Château has 11 comfortable rooms, all overlooking the charming surrounding vineyards. Some rooms have lovely views over the Alpilles and the Papal Palace in Avignon, others face the Luberon or the Mont Ventoux. Rooms are decorated in a Provençal style and provide all the modern comfort with individual climate control, complimentary Wi-Fi, a minibar, a safe and en-suite bathrooms with bathrobes, slippers, toiletries and hairdryer. Room grades include Classic, Charme, Privilège, Deluxe and Junior Suite.
