Originally a residence for Cistercian Monks, the historically-listed Château de Gilly was transformed in 1988 into a luxury hotel. Boasting stunning gardens and gourmet restaurants, it is an ideal haven of relaxation and a romantic destination.

Location

The Château is situated in the absolute heart of the Grand Cru Côte de Nuits vineyards, two minutes’ drive from the world famous village of Vougeot. Its rural local guarantees a serene and tranquil stay.

Facilities

The Château is well known for its gastronomic restaurant, “Le Clos Prieur,” a beautiful rib-vaulted room supported by slender pillars, which as originally the cellar for the Cistercian Monks. The cuisine is sophisticated and flavoursome with a superb wine list- 15,000 bottles are currently ageing in the Château’s cellars! Spa services are also available for a pampering experience as well as magnificent French gardens, a swimming pool and a tennis court.

Château de Gilly and its adjoining Pavillon du Pere Abbée and Pavillon des Jours lodges have 48 elegant rooms. Six categories are available from Standard to Suites and each room offers pleasant views over the gardens, the village or the Vouge river. Grape Escapes guests are typically accommodated in Superior or Deluxe rooms, which are spacious and comfortable and equipped with queen-sized beds and separate bathrooms and toilets.
