Here’s mine to get the ball rolling…
Every second weekend in December (apart from this one), myself and my best friends excitedly pile into our cars and head off on our annual Champagne pilgrimage to the “Habits de Lumière” festival in Epernay. The festival takes place across three days, and the town is filled with parades, light shows, fireworks and an absolute abundance of bubbles.
We always rent the same, huge apartment at the top of the Avenue de Champagne and our evenings are spent on the very best “Champagne bar crawls” that can ever be imagined. The Champagne Houses which line the avenue throw open their doors and put on the most incredible parties that I have ever been to. Live music, so much dancing and Champagne on tap! It’s the highlight of my year every single year, and I hold the memories of the countless moments of fun, friendship and laughter very close to my heart.
Not only is our annual Champagne trip my favourite travel memory, it’s also what I am most looking forward to, as we will of course be heading back for the 2021 festival. We can usually be found dancing our thermal socks off in the Moët tent 😉
