The Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal is a 4* establishment with a rich history. The mansion was once owned by the aristocratic Dandolo family and is renowned for accommodating the first public “Ridotto”, a space for entertainment, social gatherings and gambling. Today, historic features and contemporary touches blend perfectly to create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure guests have a very enjoyable stay.

Location

The Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal is ideally located at the heart of Venice. The hotel overlooks the Grand Canal and the island of San Giorgio Maggiore and is just a stone’s throw away from the main sights such as St Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace or the Bridge of Sighs. The water bus station is just outside of the hotel, ideal for guests arriving from the station or the airport.

The Grand Canal restaurant and its charming terrace boast super views of the Canal and the Venice Lagoon. Traditional Venetian dishes including seafood and fresh vegetables are served daily. Guests can also enjoy an afternoon tea or an aperitif in the lounge bar. Delicious breakfasts are served every day in the restaurant. Nine superb rooms formerly used for the “Ridotto” are available for meetings, weddings and various events.
