Andalusia is the birthplace of Sherry, a fortified wine whose story begins in the chalky soils of the ‘Sherry Triangle’, between Jerez de la Frontera, Sanlúcar de Barrameda and El Puerto de Santa María.
Here, bodegas (some centuries old), quietly nurture barrels of Fino, Amontillado and Oloroso beneath vaulted ceilings. Beyond the Sherry production, visitors to the beautiful Andalusia region can also expect whitewashed hill towns, Moorish palaces, and stretches of olive groves.
