Venice, the capital of the picturesque Veneto region, oozes romance. Built on more than 100 small islands, the city appears to rise out of the water. There are no cars or motorways, making canals and boats the only way to travel to most areas of the city.
Famed for its impressive Grand Canal, its unique setting, and its breathtaking architecture, “must sees” include the Piazza San Marco and its Basilica, the Ducal Palace, and the Bridge of Sighs.
