This package gives you the exclusive opportunity to experience the real life of a wine-maker and take part in the fascinating harvest. Discover the secrets of the wine-making process and bring unforgettable memories back home.

After settling in at the 4* Hotel de la Paix in the town of Reims, a pre-booked and pre-paid transfer will take you to the impressive Champagne Taittinger which is located on the outskirts of the city. Here, your guide will accompany you around the estate and through the extensive cellars. Your visit will conclude with two tastings of Champagne Taittinger including a glass of their Comte de Champagne. You will then be taken back to your hotel where the evening will be free for you to do as you please.

In the morning, you will be met at the hotel by a pre-booked driver, who will take you to a boutique Champagne House where you will spend a unique and exciting day as a Champagne harvester. Your day will start with a traditional harvest breakfast accompanied by a glass of Champagne to help get you ready for working in the vineyards!

You will then head into the vines, where you will try your hand at picking the grapes with the harvesting team. This once-in-a-lifetime activity will allow you to truly immerse yourself in the spirit of the Champenoise people and will last for around an hour. Following your time in the vines, you will have a private tour of the winery to help you understand the process from vine to bottle. You will then enjoy a typical harvest lunch accompanied by a selection of the estate’s Champagnes in a private area.

After lunch you will be given the opportunity to see the old-style press working within the winery museum to fully appreciate how the harvest would have been in years gone by. You will then have a guided tasting of three further Champagnes to help cement your new-found knowledge of the harvest process and its very special end product.  At the end of such an enlightening day, your driver will arrive in time to take you back to your hotel.
