Trip Summary

Upon arrival, check into your suite. Depending on your arrival time, you’ll have some time to settle in and make the most of your surroundings before beginning your trip in style. We’ll arrange for you to enjoy a delicious 5-course tasting meal at the Michelin-starred restaurant at Villa La Coste, headed up by the renowned Hélène Darroze. Your meal will be paired with five wines from the on-site winery, Chateau La Coste.

On day two, wake up and enjoy breakfast at the hotel, before discovering the renowned Chateau La Coste winery for yourself. You’ll enjoy a tour of the winemaking facilities and cellars before a private tasting of four of the estate’s wines paired with local chocolates or cheeses. You’ll then enjoy a three-course lunch at the delightful Tadao Ando restaurant in the art centre (drinks are not included and can be ordered and paid for separately). This beautifully light and bright space was designed by its namesake, the Japanese architect, and will give you opportunity to see some of the modern art that surrounds.

The rest of the day will be free for you to spend as you please. You may want to take some time to relax and enjoy the pool and spa, or go for a walk in the acres of vineyards that surround you. Alternatively, we’d be happy to speak with you about additional activities in the nearby area to arrange for you (at a supplement).

For those opting for the four-day break, you will have the opportunity to discover some further wineries in the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence. After a delightful breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel by a luxury chauffeured vehicle, which will accompany you throughout the day on a private basis.

You will visit two family-run wineries in the course of the day. Your first visit will see you stopping at a lovely winery with a passionate team, where you’ll be accompanied by the winemaker himself on a private tour and tasting of some of their wines, perhaps on the terrace overlooking the vineyard. Following this, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a Michelin-starred restaurant in the area.

In the afternoon, you’ll be taken to another authentic, family-run winery, this time for a unique blending experience. In this private workshop, you’ll embark on a guided tour of the cellars, and then learn even more about the craft of winemaking as you put your learnings to the test, tasting several grape varieties before blending your own wine to take home with you.

You will be taken back to the hotel at the end of the day, and your final evening will be free to do as you please before checking out of the hotel on day four.

Day Three (Optional)

• This morning, you will be met at your hotel by a luxury chauffeured vehicle, which will accompany you throughout the day on a private basis.
• A private tour and tastings at a family-run winery in the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, followed by lunch at a Michelin-starred restaurant nearby
• A tour and unique private blending workshop at a second family-run winery in the region, where you’ll get to try your hand at blending your own bottle of Provencal wine to take home with you.
• Your driver will drop you off at your hotel at the end of the day, and the rest of the evening will be free for you to spend as you please.

Final Day

• After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the hotel.

Package Prices

• These prices are per person and based on two people travelling together and sharing a twin or double room.
• These are realistic guide prices, based on travel in standard season (usually April to the end of October). Discounts often apply for travel out of season (usually November to the end of March) or if there are more than two of you travelling together. Please let us know your preferred travel dates for a definitive price.
• Although we propose specific hotels as part of our standard packages, we enjoy excellent relationships and preferential rates at the majority of the hotels in each of our featured destinations. Therefore if you would prefer to stay in a different hotel, this can be arranged. Please contact us for the relevant supplements/discounts.
• Other room grades are available at most of the hotels that we work with. Just let us know which hotel you prefer and we will send you the relevant supplements for the various room grades.
• Single supplements and extra night prices are available upon request.
