The Fiat 500 is an emblematic symbol of Italian culture, and therefore what better way to explore the breathtaking Tuscan vineyards?
This Chianti Wine Tour includes two or three nights’ bed and breakfast in the centre of Florence and guests are free to choose their preferred room grade. After breakfast on day two, the morning will be spent being driven through the beautiful Chianti countryside as part of a guided tour on the iconic Fiat 500, stopping at panoramic view points before heading to an award-winning producer of Chianti wines. Here, you will be taken on a full tour of the beautiful Renaissance villa and cellars and the visit will conclude with tastings of their wines and extra virgin olive oils.
After a traditional light Italian lunch at the winery, you will be taken back to the city. The meeting point for the tour is centrally located about a 15 to 30 minute walk away depending on your hotel. This is a walk through central Florence. However if you’d prefer, we’d be happy to arrange transfers at an additional cost.
In the afternoon, a tutored tasting session of four wines with local cheeses, meats, breads and olive oils will be arranged for you in the city centre.
For those staying an extra day, meet your English-speaking guide at a central departure point in Florence and enjoy a day of tasting in the stunning Chianti vineyards. There will be a maximum of eight guests on the tour and the focus of the day will be the world-famous Super Tuscan wines. During the course of the day, you will be welcomed as the guests of two highly-regarded Super Tuscan wineries , where your guide will show you the fascinating wine-making process from vine to bottle. At each estate, you will taste a variety of Tuscany wines, discovering the secrets of the Super Tuscan wine-makers. The traditional lunch served at one of the wineries will be a true highlight of your holiday. Here, you will taste examples of dishes that have made Tuscany such a well-loved gastronomic capital and of course, premium wines will complement the cuisine. During the course of the day you will also visit a charming boutique where you can enjoy a tasting session. You will be taken back to Florence at the end of the day.
