“Beautiful manners, the art of living, and welcoming everything and everyone with an acute sense of happiness.” This is Baumanière’s motto. An institution in Provence, it represents so much more than a luxury getaway, with elegance, serenity, and respect for the environment and people at the heart of its values. Baumanière has welcomed many famous guests over the years, including Johnny Depp, Bono and Queen Elizabeth II.
Situated deep in the Alpilles, at the foot of the Citadel, Baumanière’s rural location allows for a tranquil and restful stay. Marseille airport is under an hour’s drive away and Nîmes can be reached in just 40 minutes. For guests arriving by car, secure private parking is available.
A Mecca for foodies, Baumanière is home to the triple Michelin-starred L’Oustau de Baumanière, Jean-André Charial’s restaurant. Here, Chef Glenn Vial offers a cuisine which combines tradition and creativity. For a less extravagant experience, La Cabro d’Or offers more informal dining. During the summer months, three swimming pools are available and for active guests, bikes can be hired on-site. There is also a fabulous spa located next to the Manor.
The hotel’s 54 guest rooms are spread across five buildings on the estate and each room is decorated in a different style. Renovated in a contemporary style with mosaics and marble, or with authenticity, including solid wood furniture and typical Provençal bathrooms, each room has its own unique atmosphere. The various room grades include Classic, Luxe, Deluxe Terrace, Junior Suite, Suite, Prestige Luxe and Prestige Suite.
