Sister property to Les Sources de Caudalie, renowned luxury spa hotel in Bordeaux, Les Sources de Cheverny is a true haven for wine lovers in the Loire Valley.
This 5* luxury hotel sits in the heart of nature, with wildflowers and an ancient forest in its surrounds and available to guests for exploring. The period French chateau houses a few of the hotel’s 49 rooms and suites, with the remaining found in a hamlet of elegant cabins and traditional stone houses. The hotel has been beautifully and elegantly designed, taking its inspiration from the warmth of a family country house. The star of the show may be the hotel’s two delightful restaurants (one of which boasts a Michelin star), or perhaps the iconic Caudalie spa.
Location
Les Sources de Cheverny is ideally located in the heart of the Loire Valley countryside, between the vineyards and the world-famous chateaux of Chambord and Chenonceau. This is a true natural haven so you’ll wake up to an ancient forest or beautiful verdant gardens outside your window.
Facilities
Beautifully designed, with every detail thought through, the hotel combines five-star luxury with a rustic, homely and outdoorsy feel. As well as exploring the forest and surroundings, by foot or by bike, guests can make the most of all the premium facilities.
It is the sister of Alice (who, along with her husband, is the dreamer, creator and manager behind this wonderful hotel and its sister properties), who designed the iconic Caudalie skincare range. Her products are front and centre at the hotel’s beautiful spa, which offers a range of luxurious treatments inspired by grapes straight from the vine. The perfect choice for those looking for a Loire Valley wine and spa vacation. Signature treatments are on offer, ranging from standalone massages to half- or full-day rituals with multiple treatments pieced together to make for the most indulgent and relaxing experience.
Guests can also enjoy the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, hammam, outdoor jacuzzi and relaxation areas.
For dining, the hotel boasts two restaurants and a wine bar. Embark on a culinary journey at the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, Le Favori, or enjoy the country-style L’Auberge, meaning ‘inn’ in English, which boasts a delightful menu of dishes inspired by nature and local products from the Loire Valley.
Rooms
Of the 49 rooms and suites, several different room grades are possible, from superior and prestige rooms through to junior suites and suites (which also offer a living area), and the signature suite. The latter promises a truly unique stay as it is a lone cabin perched on stilts over the lake. Its panoramic views take in the estate and its orchards, and the suite also boasts a private Nordic bath. Every room is individually designed in keeping with the hotel’s bohemian, country spirit.
