Albergo Cantine Ascheri – 4* – Bra, Piedmont
The Albergo Cantine Ascheri is a unique hotel built on the top of a cellar. Its contemporary architecture and post-industrial look, which was inspired by the old tanneries of the 19th Century Bra, create a charming and welcoming atmosphere.
The Albergo Cantine Ascheri offers a good range of facilities including a cosy lounge bar, a lovely terrace and a reading hall with food and wine books in Italian and English. A traditional family-style “Osteria” restaurant is available on site serving delicious Piedmontese dishes in an authentic setting. Palace Hotel – 4* – Como, Lombardy
Built in 1898, the “Grand Hotel Plinius”, as it was once known, was a majestic palace on the lakefront offering modern facilities and a Belle Epoque décor. The Palace Hotel is perfectly located on the shores of Lake Como, within walking distance of the centre of Como and its good range of shops, restaurants, cafés and bars.
A delicious breakfast is served daily in the grand setting of the former ballroom. Breakfast includes hot and cold local produce and home-made bread and cakes as well as a range of gluten free and organic options. The Garden Bar Ceccato is renowned for its homemade ice-cream and breathtaking views over the lake. Rooms are a blend of modern style with touches of art deco.
