Located in the small city of Evora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Pousada Convento de Evora (also known as the Pousada dos Loios) was originally a 15^th Century Monastery where many features of the original architecture such as the peaceful courtyard cloisters, have been preserved.  The rooms are housed in rooms once inhabited by monks and each room is decorated in a unique way.

Location

The Pousada Convento de Evora is ideally situated next to the Roman Temple, right in the heart of the charming city of Evora and close to the Praça do Giraldo and the Colégio do Espírito Santo. The hotel is within easy walking distance of a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants.

Facilities

The Loios restaurant at the Pousada Convento de Evora is well known for it’s excellent fayre.  The focus here is om Regional Cuisine and varies according to the seasonal availability of local produce.  Also of note is the unique location of the restaurant with its granite staircase which leads you to the aisles of the cloister where you will be seated to enjoy your food.

There is a choice of bars where you can enjoy lighter meals and smaller plates, the pool bar is open during the summer months and serves delicious snacks that are light enough to enjoy in the intense heat of the summer months.
