This former 18^th Century wine lodge, located on the banks of the River Douro, offers timeless elegance in an English country house style, along with the ultimate in luxury. Located in the authentic heart of the Douro Valley, enjoy some quiet time, drinking in the views from the shaded riverside patio, whilst sipping on a Port with tonic and ice. All leads back to Port, from the name of the hotel to the curious antiques and the frescoes detailing the harvest, which can be found in the restaurant.

Location

The Vintage’s prime location, in the pretty town of Pinhão, makes it an ideal base to explore all the Douro has to offer, from a river cruise to visits to the numerous Port estates dotted around the Valley. The hotel backs onto the beautiful 19^th Century train station, from where you can enjoy a steam train back to Porto.  Drop by the station anyway, just to admire the tiles depicting scenes from a wine-maker’s daily life!

All 50 rooms have their own balcony, and are bathed in sunlight, offering stunning views over the Douro valley. Sophistically decorated, they offer comfortable but luxurious accommodation, with fine linens and King size beds as standard, not forgetting LCD TV, telephone and mini-bars.

As well as Standard rooms, spacious 42 square metre Junior Suites are also available as well as even larger Deluxe Suites and for the most decadent stay, the Master Suites with their original granite fireplaces.
