Trip Summary

On day two, you will be met at the hotel by a luxury chauffeured vehicle (a Mercedes E or S Class), which will accompany you throughout the day in the world-revered Brunello di Montalcino wine region on a private basis. Brunello is considered to be one of the best wines in the world and its ancestral roots come from the passion of the inhabitants of Montalcino, who handed down their ancient wine-making traditions through the generations. Guests are free to choose their two favourite wineries for a tour and tastings. Please note that a number of the more exclusive estates do not tend to receive visitors at weekends and some of them do not receive visitors at all. We would be pleased to discuss the various options with you and contact the individual estates accordingly. The day will pause for lunch at the authentic Italian taverna at the estate of premium Brunello producer, Castello Banfi. Lunch will consist of five courses and each course will be served with a different Banfi wine.

The four day Siena wine tour includes a private chauffeured luxury vehicle for a second full day, which will be spent in the Chianti appellation. The morning will be spent at the world-famous Antinori winery, where you will be welcomed on a VIP experience. Here, you will be taken on a full behind-the-scenes tour, seeing first-hand the individual stages of the production process and your visit will conclude with tastings of three Antinori wines. The tastings will take place either in the spectacular suspended tasting room, or in the most exclusive part of the cellars, the intimate Bottaia room. Lunch will then be served in Antinori’s restaurant, which is located on the scenic rooftop terrace. The traditional Italian cuisine will be accompanied by two further Antinori wines. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour and tastings at your favourite Chianti winery. As always, we are more than happy to make some suggestions.

• A tour and tastings at your favourite Chianti winery.

The final day of your Siena wine tour

• After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the hotel.

Availability cannot be guaranteed until we have received a confirmed booking, together with the deposit payment (or payment in full where the dates of travel are in less than 60 days). If the named accommodation / visits are not available, we will endeavour to find suitable alternatives of a similar grade; this may be subject to a supplement or a rebate depending on the price available.

• These prices are per person and based on two people travelling together and sharing a twin or double room.
• These are realistic guide prices, based on travel in standard season (usually April to the end of October). Considerable discounts often apply for travel out of season (usually November to the end of March) or if there are more than two of you travelling together. Please let us know your preferred travel dates for a definitive price.
• Please note that the Italian hotels charge a city tax which is payable locally at check out (Grand Hotel Continental: 5€ per person per night).
• Although we propose specific hotels as part of our standard packages, we enjoy excellent relationships and preferential rates at the majority of the hotels in each of our featured destinations. Therefore if you would prefer to stay in a different hotel, this can be arranged. Please contact us for the relevant supplements/discounts.
• Other room grades are available at most of the hotels that we work with. Just let us know which hotel you prefer and we will send you the relevant supplements for the various room grades.
• Single supplements and extra night prices are available upon request.
