Designed for wine-loving golfers, our Bandol and Golf package is part of our Wine and Beyond range, offering customers the opportunity to combine a few of the finer things in life. The package is based at the unique Hotel Resort Le Fregate Provence, which boasts one of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe. As well as having plenty of time to make the most of your hotel’s incredible facilities, you will also be introduced to the famous rosé and white wines of Provence, and particularly to the specificities of the Bandol and Cassis appellations. This break will give you a taste of the authentic Provençal art de vivre!
After settling in on day one, you will have a free afternoon and evening to relax at the hotel and explore your charming surroundings independently.
On the morning of day two, enjoy a round of golf on the hotel’s 18-hole course. Your package includes the green fee as well as a buggy. The 6,210 m par 72 Frégate course was designed by American Golf Course Architect Ronald Fream at the heart of the Provençal vineyards, surrounding by pine trees and with 15 breath-taking view points across the Mediterranean Sea. We will reserve you a table for lunch at the hotel’s traditional bistro. The remainder of the day will be free to relax at the hotel.
On day three, you will be met at the hotel by a private chauffeured vehicle, which will accompany you throughout the day for a tour of the Bandol and Cassis appellations. You will firstly be taken to the Cassis appellation for a tour and tastings at a premium local domaine. Here, you will learn about the Cassis AOC and the specificities of the local wines. After such an enlightening morning, you will be given some free time for lunch in the picturesque port. In the afternoon, you will be taken to two different wineries in Bandol and its surroundings. Here, you will learn everything about the wine growing history of the region, its AOC as well as the wine-making process. You will visit the wine-making facilities of the estates and your tour will conclude with tastings of their aromatic rosé wines. You will be taken back to your hotel at the end of the tour.
