For those looking for an introduction to the Champagne with a Taittinger tour, this tour may just be the answer.

After checking in at the 4* Hotel de la Paix on the first day, you will be welcomed at a tasting bar owned by a local Champagne House in the city centre. Here, enjoy a fun and insightful introduction to Champagne, with three tastings served alongside a charcuterie platter.

On day two, after breakfast, a pre-paid taxi will take you to the stunning Taittinger cellars in Reims. Here you will descend 18 metres below ground level to the breath taking Gallo-Roman chalk quarries, a designated UNESCO Cultural Heritage site. Originally carved out for the extraction of chalk, they are now home to thousands of bottles of Taittinger Comtes de Champagne, which mature here patiently for several years before being enjoyed by Champagne lovers all over the world.

On this private tour you will learn about the fascinating Champagne-making process, the history of the brand and enjoy a tasting session of three Taittinger Champagnes, including the famous Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs in a private salon. At the end of this fascinating visit, your taxi will take you back to Reims city centre. Here, enjoy a leisurely lunch and perhaps explore the Gothic cathedral, or simply do some window shopping.

In the evening, a three course Champagne tasting dinner will be served in a traditional restaurant in the city centre.

Day One of your Taittinger tour

Upon arrival in Reims, check into your preferred room grade at the 4* Hotel de la Paix
After settling in, enjoy a Champagne Masterclass and tasting session of three Champagnes with a platter of charcuterie at a tasting bar owned by a local Champagne House.
Evening at leisure. We would be pleased to recommend a restaurant and reserve you a table for dinner if required.

Day Two of your Taittinger tour

After breakfast, enjoy a private tour of the impressive Taittinger cellars with a tasting of three Champagnes, including the Comtes de Champagne blanc de blanc.
Transfers will be arranged to escort you to and from Taittinger.
In the evening, a three course dinner with three different Champagnes will be served in a cosy restaurant in the city centre.

These prices are per person and based on two people travelling together and sharing a twin or double room.
These are realistic guide prices, based on travel in standard season (usually April to the end of October). Discounts often apply for travel out of season (usually November to the end of March) or if there are more than two of you travelling together. Please let us know your preferred travel dates for a definitive price.
