Trip Summary

On day two, you will be met at the hotel by an English-speaking specialist driver/guide, who will accompany you throughout the day on a private basis. Today, you will drive out into the surrounding wine region, beginning with a private wine workshop at the renowned Château La Coste. This experience will offer an insightful look at the château’s wines, with opportunity to taste some of their best ones for yourself. Following such an enlightening experience, you will enjoy a delightful three-course lunch, paired with three Château La Coste wines, at the Michelin-starred restaurant, Hélène Darroze at Villa La Coste. In the afternoon, you’ll go on to another authentic winery in the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, for a private tour of their estate and to taste some of their reds, whites and rosés. At the end of the day, your driver will drop you back off at your hotel, and the rest of the evening will be free for you to spend as you please.

For those staying a third night, an English-speaking driver/guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning, ready for a second day of wine tasting on a private basis. This time there’ll be a particular focus on the gourmet: as well as a guided tour and tasting, you’ll enjoy an authentic picnic lunch at the winery you visit for the true Provencal experience. Think charcuterie, fresh and aged goats cheese, terrines, homemade bread, an assortment of tapenades… all with some wine to accompany it. On your way back towards the hotel, you’ll stop for some free time in the picturesque seaside town of Cassis.

You will be taken back to the hotel at the end of the day, and your final evening will be free to do as you please before checking out of the hotel on day four.

• This morning, you will be met at your hotel by an English-speaking driver/guide who will accompany you on a second day of tours on a private basis. Your tour day will comprise of:
  • A tour, tastings and authentic picnic lunch with wine at a local winery.
  • Free time to explore picturesque Cassis.
• Free evening in Aix-en-Provence.

Final Day of your Aix-en-Provence Wine Tasting Break

• After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the hotel.

• These prices are per person and based on two people travelling together and sharing a twin or double room.
• These are realistic guide prices, based on travel in standard season (usually April to the end of October). Discounts often apply for travel out of season (usually November to the end of March) or if there are more than two of you travelling together. Please let us know your preferred travel dates for a definitive price.
• Although we propose specific hotels as part of our standard packages, we enjoy excellent relationships and preferential rates at the majority of the hotels in each of our featured destinations. Therefore if you would prefer to stay in a different hotel, this can be arranged. Please contact us for the relevant supplements/discounts.
• Other room grades are available at most of the hotels that we work with. Just let us know which hotel you prefer and we will send you the relevant supplements for the various room grades.
• Single supplements and extra night prices are available upon request.
