Trip Summary

After breakfast on day two, you will be met at the hotel by an English-speaking specialist driver/guide, who will accompany you throughout the day on a private basis. Today, you will discover the wines of the Baux-de-Provence area, which also boasts incredible landscapes. During the course of the day, you will visit two wineries, to see first-hand the wine-making process and taste extensive examples of the region’s red and rosé wines, made predominantly from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. A small amount of white wine is also produced here (usually blends of Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Vermentino), and almost all of the wineries in the appellation are organic. You will also visit a local olive mill, where you will taste the Baux-de-Provence AOP olive oil. You will have free time for lunch today, and your guide will be very pleased to recommend a suitable restaurant depending on how hungry you are feeling on the day.

After being taken back to the hotel for some time to relax and freshen up, an unforgettable multi-course dinner will be served in the hotel’s incredible triple Michelin-starred restaurant. Drinks have not been included as part of the package, and can be ordered and paid for locally on the evening.

For those staying a third night, your guide will return to the hotel on the morning of day three, and accompany you on a second day of wine tasting, this time to the area surrounding Aix-en-Provence. Not only is Aix-en-Provence home to some of the world’s greatest rosés (and some superb reds and whites too), the area is also famous for the beautiful Mont Saint Victoire, a feature of many of the painter Cézanne’s masterpieces. As well as having plenty of time to admire the spectacular scenery, you will also be welcomed and three wineries for full tours and tastings. Again, you will have free time for lunch today, and your guide will be on hand to suggest a suitable restaurant depending on how hungry you are feeling.

You will be taken back to the hotel at the end of the day, and your final evening will be free to do as you please before checking out on day four.

• This morning, your guide will return and accompany you on a second day of tours. Your tour day will comprise of:
• Tour and tastings at three local wineries in the Aix-en-Provence area.
• Free time for lunch.
• Free evening in Les Baux-de-Provence.

Provence Wine Tour- Final Day

• After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the hotel.

• These prices are per person and based on two people travelling together and sharing a twin or double room.
• These are realistic guide prices, based on travel in standard season (usually April to the end of October). Discounts often apply for travel out of season (usually November to the end of March) or if there are more than two of you travelling together. Please let us know your preferred travel dates for a definitive price.
• Although we propose specific hotels as part of our standard packages, we enjoy excellent relationships and preferential rates at the majority of the hotels in each of our featured destinations. Therefore if you would prefer to stay in a different hotel, this can be arranged. Please contact us for the relevant supplements/discounts.
• Other room grades are available at most of the hotels that we work with. Just let us know which hotel you prefer and we will send you the relevant supplements for the various room grades.
