These three and four day packages offer the ultimate luxurious Veneto experience. Based at the superb 5* Villa Cordevigo, guests will enjoy a flawless service and high-end facilities, as well as experiencing premium tours and tastings at highly-regarded local Valpolicella and Amarone wineries.
Upon arrival in the Veneto region, check into your preferred room grade at the picturesque 5* Villa Cordevigo. The Villa offers a wide range of luxurious facilities, including an outdoor swimming pool, a lounge bar, and a wellness centre, nestled in the Veneto vineyards. Villa Cordevigo also boasts an on-site winery, and a tasting session of five of the estate’s wines, including an Amarone della Valpolicella Classico and a Soave Classico, will be arranged for you on the afternoon of your arrival. The evening will then be free for you to do as you please. We would be delighted to recommend and reserve you local a restaurant for dinner.
On the morning of day two, after breakfast, you will be met at the Villa by a specialist driver/guide, who will accompany you throughout the day on a private basis. You will be taken to the renowned Valpolicella production area, and your guide will regale you with tales and anecdotes of the history of Veneto and its vineyards, introducing you to the particularities of the region.
Valpolicella wines are primarily made with Corvina grapes with small additions of other grape varieties, and range from light to medium bodied red wines with aromas of cherry, raspberry, plum and violet. The area also produces the renowned Amarone della Valpolicella; rich, dense wines with aromas of black cherry, figs, dark chocolate, molasses, wood smoke, orange and clove.
Today, you will visit two premium wineries for full tours of the wine-making facilities, learning about the local wine-making methods, and tasting extensive examples of the estates’ wines. A delicious lunch of local dishes paired with Veneto wines will also be arranged. You will be taken back to your hotel at the end of the day.
In the evening, a six course wine pairing dinner will be served in the hotel’s Michelin-starred Oseleta restaurant. Chef Marco Marras focuses on seasonal, traditional flavours whilst combining simplicity and excellence.
After breakfast on day three, your driver/guide will return, this time to take you to the beautiful Lake Garda. Your guide will firstly take you to the historic village of Sirmione. You will be taken on a tour of this charming, picturesque little village before enjoying a 30 minute private boat tour of the peninsula. At midday, lunch paired with wines will be served in a local restaurant. After lunch, you will have the opportunity to further explore the village independently, perhaps do a bit of shopping or enjoy a gelato by the Lake. You will be taken back to your hotel in the late afternoon.
The remainder of the afternoon and evening will be free for you to enjoy the Villa’s luxurious facilities, taking a dip in the swimming pool or relaxing at the spa. As always, we would be delighted to reserve you a table for dinner if required.
