Contact UsOur three or four day Essential Verona wine tour gives you the perfect introduction to the city of love and the Veneto region. As well as having time to discover the charming sights of Verona, you will sample a range of regional wines including Amarone, and taste delicious local delicacies. Follow the locals and enjoy the Italian dolce vita.
Upon arrival in Verona, check into your preferred room grade at the 4* Hotel Accademia. The hotel boasts a very central location, with easy access to the popular sights and a vast array of restaurants, cafés, bars and shops.
In the afternoon, a tasting session of five Veneto wines will be arranged in one of the oldest bottegas in Verona. The tasting will include wines from the Valpolicella and Soave production areas. The knowledgeable staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
The evening will be free to do as you please. We would be delighted to suggest a restaurant for dinner and reserve you a table if required.
On the morning of the second day of your Verona adventure, after breakfast, meet your local expert tour guide at a central departure point in the city centre. You will be taken on a three and a half hour food and wine walking tour. Your guide will share his knowledge of the city of love and take you through picturesque cobbled streets to sample local specialties such as delicious Italian espresso, regional cheese and mouth-watering gelato. There will be a maximum of ten people on the tour. After the tour, you will have some free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, meet another specialist driver/guide, who will accompany you on a half day guided and transported tour of the Amarone wine region. En route, your guide will regale you with tales and anecdotes of the history of the region and its vineyards, introducing you to its particularities. You will be taken to two different wineries to visit the facilities and learn all about the fascinating Amarone wine making process. Each tour will conclude with a guided tasting of the estate’s wines with nibbles. There will be a maximum of six guests on the tour.
You will be taken back to Verona at the end of the day, and the evening will be free to do as you please.
For those staying an additional night, day three includes an entertaining three and a half hour Italian risotto and pasta making class. You will discover the secrets of the famous Italian cuisine and learn to make fresh home made pasta, risotto and tiramisu. After all this hard work, you will enjoy your creations over a convivial lunch. There will be a maximum of ten participants.
Your final afternoon and evening will then be free for you to relax or explore the city independently. As always, we would be pleased to reserve you a table for dinner if required.
