Our Essential Split package is designed to give you an introduction to the Northern Dalmatian wines while discovering the Split Unesco Heritage sites and the sights of the beautiful island of Hvar. The package includes extensive wine tastings and some delicious meals at well-regarded local restaurants.
Upon arrival at Split airport, you will be taken to your chosen hotel by a private chauffeured vehicle. Check into your preferred room grade. The remainder of the afternoon will be free for you to do as you please. You may wish to relax and enjoy your hotel’s facilities. Alternatively, you may prefer to explore your lovely surroundings independently. In the evening, a three course dinner will be served in a traditional restaurant of the city centre. Drinks can be ordered and paid for directly on the day.
On the morning of day two, after breakfast, you will be taken on a guided tour of Split. You will learn all about the historic and cultural heritage of this charming city and be taken to Split’s main sights including the Unesco listed Diocletian’s Palace, the city clock and the Riva harbour. Your tour will also include a stop to a local wine shop where you can sample and buy some Croatian wines. The remainder of the day will be free for you to explore independently and enjoy Split beautiful beaches. In the evening, a three course dinner will be arranged in a renowned local wine bar in the city centre. Drinks can be ordered and paid for directly on the day.
After breakfast on day three, you will be met at your hotel by your guide who will accompany you on a full day on Hvar Island. You will firstly take the ferry to reach the island. The journey takes between one hour and one hour and forty minutes depending on the route and the drive offers beautiful scenic views.
Upon arrival in Stari Grad, you will be transferred to a first winery where you will be taken on a tour of the facilities, including the fascinating underwater wine cellar. Following the tour, a tasting session of five of the estate’s wines will be arranged accompanied by platters of local delicacies such as seafood, cold cuts and cheeses. You will then be given some free time to relax on the picture perfect beach. In the afternoon, you will be taken to a second winery for a tour of the estate and wine making facilities and a tasting session of five wines served with Croatian specialties. You will be taken back to Split at the end of the tour.
In the evening, a three course dinner will be served in a charming restaurant at Split marina. Drinks can be ordered and paid for directly on the day.
After a leisurely breakfast on day four, check out of the hotel. You will be transferred to Split Airport on time for your flight.
