For those looking for an introduction to the unique Champagne Ruinart, this tour may just be the answer.
After checking in at the hotel on the first day, you will be welcomed at a tasting bar owned by a local Champagne House in the city centre. Here, enjoy a fun and insightful introduction to Champagne, with three tastings served alongside a charcuterie platter.
On day two, a taxi will take you to Maison Ruinart. The house of Ruinart is unlike any other; inspired by a visionary, hardworking Benedictine monk, Nicolas Ruinart drafted the founding charter of Maison Ruinart, creating the world’s first ever champagne-producing company. Here, you will be taken on a guided tour of the estate and stunning cellars of Champagne Ruinart, which are classified as a historical monument and lie underneath the city of Reims. The tour will be followed by a tasting of your choice, either Ruinart Blanc de Blancs or Ruinart rosé and then their flagship Prestige Cuvée Dom Ruinart, white or rosé.
At the end of the tour, your taxi can take you back to your hotel, or if you prefer, explore the interesting city of Reims, visit the the Gothic cathedral or do some window shopping. When you get back to your Hotel, time to relax and freshen up before enjoying a three course dinner with three different Champagnes in a traditional restaurant in the city centre, located ten minutes’ walk from the main square.
As with all our tours, we can offer a whole range of exclusive visits and this itinerary can be completely tailor-made to suit your exact requirements. For example, Ruinart also offer the opportunity to dine at the estates as their private guests. The perfect romantic evening or get together with friends and family.

If the named accommodation / visits are not available, we will endeavour to find suitable alternatives of a similar grade; this may be subject to a supplement or a rebate depending on the price available.
The hotel was excellent, clean, bright, modern and well-equipped. The location was perfect and even though it is a chain hotel, we felt it was very welcoming and not too corporate.
