Contact UsOur three and four day Hidden Gem break at Château Pape Clément gives you the amazing opportunity to stay as the guests of the world-famous Grand Cru Classé Château Pape Clément. The location is truly unique, as the stunning Château is surrounded by vineyards as well as being at the heart of Pessac, a sought-after town on the outskirts of Bordeaux city centre.
After a leisurely breakfast on day two, make your way to the winery, where you will enjoy a full tour of the estate and cellars as well as a fascinating wine making workshop. Here, you will be able to create your own blend and take a bottle home with you. Following the visit, an unforgettable gourmet picnic lunch with a selection of four of the Château’s wines will be served in the beautiful gardens.
In the afternoon, you will be escorted in a luxury vehicle to the town of Leognan. Here, you will be taken on an exclusive tour of the famous Château Haut-Bailly followed by a tasting session of several of the Château’s wines with bread and cheese. You will be taken back to the Château at the end of the tour. Your vehicle will return in the evening and take you to the double Michelin-Starred restaurant La Grande Maison, where a six course gastronomic dinner will be served. Please note that drinks have not been included as part of the package and can be ordered and paid for locally.
For those booking the four day break, you will be met on the morning of day three by an English-speaking specialist chauffeur/guide, who will accompany you throughout the day on a private tour of the famous vineyards of the Médoc or Saint-Emilion (or Graves and Sauternes) in a Mercedes S Class vehicle. Guests are free to choose their preferred three Châteaux for tours and tastings. The Grape Escapes Bordeaux specialists are happy to offer advice and make suggestions if you would prefer. Please note that a number of the more exclusive estates do not tend to receive visitors at weekends and some of them do not receive visitors at all. We would be pleased to discuss the various options with you and contact the individual estates accordingly.
