Contact UsOur three and four day Exclusive breaks in central Bordeaux showcase the very best that Bordeaux has to offer. They offer both unique wine tasting experiences and a sumptuous 5* setting. Staying at the 5* Intercontinental Bordeaux – Le Grand Hotel, guests will enjoy an exceptional level of service and access to the hotel’s first-rate facilities. The fine wining would not be complete without the fine dining, and the package includes one or two gastronomic dinners, to indulge your culinary desires.
On day two, you will be met at the hotel by an English-speaking Grape Escapes chauffeur/guide, who will accompany you throughout the day on a private tour of the famous vineyards of the Médoc or Saint-Emilion (or Graves and Sauternes) in a Mercedes S Class vehicle. Guests are free to choose their preferred three Châteaux for tours and tastings. The Grape Escapes Bordeaux specialists are happy to offer advice and make suggestions if you would prefer. Please note that a number of the more exclusive estates do not tend to receive visitors at weekends and some of them do not receive visitors at all. We would be pleased to discuss the various options with you and contact the individual estates accordingly.
Newly opened and fronted by none other than world-famous celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay, enjoy a splendid six course dinner in the opulent dining room of the hotel’s double Michelin-starred restaurant in the evening. Each course will be perfectly paired with a premium wine by the restaurant’s expert sommelier. Please note that this restaurant is closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday but can be substituted with a suitable alternative.
The four day break includes a further two tours and tastings on day three, at your selected Châteaux in either Saint-Emilion or Médoc. You will again be met at your hotel by your private luxury Mercedes S Class vehicle and English-speaking driver/guide. At the end of the half day, enjoy a unique tasting session of two First Growth wines, accompanied by comments from an experienced sommelier. Wine available for taste often includes Château Mouton Rothschild, Château Latour, Château Margaux, Château Haut Brion, Château Yquem and Château Cheval Blanc. In the evening a four course dinner accompanied by a selection of fine wines, water and coffee will be served in La Tupina, a very special authentic restaurant, which was rated the second best brasserie in the world by the New York Times. Chef Jean Pierre Xiradakis’ typical south western cuisine has been renowned for decades.

Availability cannot be guaranteed until we have received a confirmed booking, together with the deposit payment (or payment in full where the dates of travel are in less than 60 days). If the named accommodation / visits are not available, we will endeavour to find suitable alternatives of a similar grade; this may be subject to a supplement or a rebate depending on the price available.
