Contact UsIf you are looking for a decadent short break which encompasses an unforgettable location and world-class wines, look no further than Exclusive Saint-Emilion! Based at the luxurious 5* Hôtel de Pavie, formerly known as the Hostellerie de Plaisance, in the heart of the UNESCO classified village of Saint-Emilion, Grape Escapes guests are accommodated in the hotel’s main building and there are five different room grades to choose from.
After checking in on day one and spending a relaxing evening admiring the breath-taking views of the village and vineyards from the hotel’s panoramic terrace, you will be met on the morning of day two by a luxury chauffeured vehicle, which will accompany you throughout the day on a private basis. Merlot is the predominant grape variety in Saint-Emilion and guests are free to choose their preferred two Châteaux for tours and tastings. The Grape Escapes Bordeaux specialists are happy to offer advice and make suggestions if you would prefer. Please note that a number of the more exclusive estates do not tend to receive visitors at weekends and some of them do not receive visitors at all. We would be pleased to discuss the various options with you and contact the individual estates accordingly.
Your driver/guide will also take you to another estate, where a picnic lunch alongside a range of the Château’s smooth and velvety wines will be served. In the evening, a gastronomic dinner will be served in the hotel’s double Michelin-starred restaurant. The Chef Yannick Alléno is renowned accross the world. His cuisine is creative and displays a lot of passion. Please note that the hotel’s restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Wine pairing can be arranged on request, please let us know if this would be of interest to you.
For those booking the four day break, your guide will return on the morning of day three and accompany you on a second day of tours, this time focusing on the Médoc and its majestic Châteaux with powerful Cabernet Sauvignon wines. Again, you are free to let us know your two favourite Châteaux and we will contact the estates on your behalf to arrange a visit for you. A lunch with drinks will be served in a traditional restaurant.

Availability cannot be guaranteed until we have received a confirmed booking, together with the deposit payment (or payment in full where the dates of travel are in less than 60 days). If the named accommodation / visits are not available, we will endeavour to find suitable alternatives of a similar grade; this may be subject to a supplement or a rebate depending on the price available.
Nic and I really loved Hostellerie de Plaisance. Having our own balcony overlooking the village was such a treat. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to our friends and family, and our stay was very special.
