A fusion of bubbles and blissful serenity, our three and four day Wine and Beyond Spa breaks in Champagne provide our customers with the ultimate relaxation experience based at the sumptuous and charming 5* Hotel, Hostellerie la Briqueterie & Spa.
On day two, the morning will be free for you to take full advantage of the hotel’s superb spa facilities. In this oasis of peace, surrender yourself to the intimate Zen atmosphere and enjoy a 60 minute face or body spa treatment of your choice.
At lunch time, a pre-booked and pre-paid taxi will escort you to the famous village of Hautvillers, the “cradle of Champagne”. As well as having time to admire the spectacular views across the vineyards and visit the Church where Dom Pérignon is buried, a comparative tasting session of three single varietal Champagnes will take place in a quaint tasting boutique in the village. Platters of cheeses and gourmet local delicacies will also be served. Ending your day in style, you will visit the largest Champagne house, Moët and Chandon, where a knowledgeable representative will accompany you around the estate and through the extensive cellars. Your visit will conclude with flutes of the latest Moët white and rosé Grand Vintages. Please note that this visit will be as part of a small group.
In the evening you will be welcomed to dine in the gastronomic restaurant at your hotel, Hostellerie la Briqueterie, where you will be served a three course gourmet meal, accompanied by a flute of Champagne.
For those booking the four day package, you will be transported throughout the day on day three in a luxury chauffeured vehicle (Mercedes E or S Class) on a private basis. You will firstly visit a small, family-run producer of Champagnes for a full tour of the fascinating Champagne making process from vine to bottle, and at least three tastings including vintage Champagne. A three course Champagne tasting lunch will then be served in a cosy traditional restaurant in Reims. Each course will be accompanied by a different Champagne.
The afternoon offers you the chance to visit your favourite Champagne House in Reims. Subject to your dates of travel and availability, options include Taittinger, GH Mumm to taste their Blanc de Blancs and Blancs de Noirs Champagnes, Ruinart to taste Ruinart Blanc de Blancs or Ruinart rosé followed by their flagship Prestige Cuvée Dom Ruinart white or rosé, and Veuve Clicquot, to enjoy a flute of their celebrated La Grande Dame. Please note that some of these Houses (particularly Veuve Clicquot and Ruinart) are very popular and offer very few tours, therefore early booking is essential.
Before being taken back to the hotel, you will have some free time to explore Reims, the city of Kings and the gateway to Champagne. Reims is home to no less than three UNESCO world heritage sites including one of the finest Gothic cathedrals in northern Europe where 25 Kings of France were crowned.
