Our Extensive Northern Dalmatia package is based in Split and gives you the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the local lifestyle and culture by discovering the region’s history and heritage, making the most of the Croatian beautiful weather and enjoying relaxing days on the beach as well as tasting local wines and sampling delicious specialties and traditional meals.
Upon arrival at Split airport, you will be taken to your chosen hotel by a private chauffeured vehicle. Check into your preferred room grade. The remainder of the afternoon will be free for you to do as you please. You may wish to relax and enjoy your hotel’s facilities. Alternatively, you may prefer to explore your lovely surroundings independently. In the evening, a three course dinner will be served in a traditional restaurant of the city centre. Drinks can be ordered and paid for directly on the day.
On the morning of day two, after breakfast, you will be taken on a guided tour of Split. You will learn all about the historic and cultural heritage of this charming city and be taken to Split’s main sights including the Unesco listed Diocletian’s Palace, the city clock and the Riva harbour. Your tour will also include a stop to a local wine shop where you can sample and buy some Croatian wines.
The remainder of the day will be free for you to explore independently and enjoy Split beautiful beaches. In the evening, a three course dinner will be arranged in a renowned local wine bar in the city centre. Drinks can be ordered and paid for directly on the day.
After breakfast on day three, you will be met at your hotel by your guide who will accompany you on a full day on Hvar Island. You will firstly take the ferry to reach the island. The journey takes between one hour and one hour and forty minutes depending on the route and the drive offers beautiful scenic views. Upon arrival in Stari Grad, you will be transferred to a first winery where you will be taken on a tour of the facilities, including the fascinating underwater wine cellar. Following the tour, a tasting session of five of the estate’s wines will be arranged accompanied by platters of local delicacies such as seafood, cold cut and cheese. You will then be given some free time to relax on the island picture perfect beach. In the afternoon, you will be taken to a second winery for a tour of the estate and wine making facilities and a tasting session of five wines served with Croatian specialties. You will be taken back to Split at the end of the tour. The evening will be free for you to do as you please.
Day four will be free for you to relax on the beach and explore the city independently. In the evening, a three course dinner will be served in a charming restaurant of Split’s marina. Drinks can be ordered and paid for directly on the day.
After breakfast on day five, you will have a free morning to do as you please. Following this, you will be met at your hotel by a driver / guide who will accompany you throughout the afternoon. You will be taken to a local winery in Split’s surroundings and enjoy a full tour of their vineyard as well as a tasting session of the estate’s wines with some local specialties. You will be taken back to Split after the tour and the evening will be free for you to do as you please.
After breakfast on day six, you will be met by a private driver / guide who will accompany you throughout the day.
You will be taken to Trogir, a town with a rich history which can be traced back to the Greeks. Trogir is a charming place with many palaces and churches displaying a range of cultural influences from the Romans, French and Venetians. You guide will take you on a tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and you will learn all about its heritage. After your tour, a three course lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Drinks can be ordered and paid for directly on the day. In the afternoon, you will be taken to Ciovo island where you will have some free time to enjoy the picture-perfect pebble beach. You will be taken to Split at the end of the day, and you will have a free evening.
Breakfast will be served at your hotel on day seven and the rest of the day will be free for you to do as you please. You may wish to enjoy your hotel’s facilities. Alternatively, you may prefer to spend the day soaking up the Croatian sun on the beach.
After a leisurely breakfast on day four, check out of the hotel. You will be transferred to Split Airport on time for your flight.
