On arrival in Lisbon on day one, check in to your five-star hotel, ideally located for exploring the historic districts, riverfront and cultural highlights of the city. Depending on your arrival time, you will then have the opportunity to relax, enjoy the hotel’s facilities, or head out on foot to begin discovering Lisbon at your own pace.

In the evening, you will enjoy a welcome dinner at one of Lisbon’s Michelin-starred restaurants, offering a contemporary introduction to Portuguese gastronomy and an elegant start to your wine journey.

Day two of your tour has been set aside to discover the wine region named after Portugal’s capital city. After breakfast, your private driver will collect you from your hotel and you will head out into the Lisbon wine region, one of Portugal’s most diverse and exciting wine areas, located just beyond the capital.

Your first stop of the day will be at a boutique estate dedicated to working with indigenous Portuguese grape varieties, where a guided tour of the vineyards and cellar introduces you to the character of the region and the people shaping its modern wine identity. A tasting of the estate’s wines offers insight into both traditional techniques and contemporary Portuguese winemaking.

For lunch, we will arrange a relaxed meal at a carefully selected seafood restaurant overlooking the Atlantic, where fresh local produce is paired with regional wines and sweeping coastal views.

In the afternoon, you will travel to Colares, the most westerly wine region in continental Europe. Here, ancient vines grow in sandy soils at the foot of the Sintra mountains, just metres from the ocean. A guided visit and tasting at a carefully selected producer will reveal why these rare wines are among Portugal’s most distinctive and age-worthy.

Following the last visit of the day, your driver will return you to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day and evening at leisure.

Day three of your Exclusive Lisbon and Setúbal wine tour is a full day of wine exploration in the Península de Setúbal wine region. The Península de Setúbal is an exciting region for wine and although the region is best known for sweet wines there are also plenty of excellent table wines to discover here.

After breakfast, your private driver will collect you from your hotel and you will head south across the Tagus River into the Península de Setúbal: Portugal’s historic Moscatel and coastal wine region, located less than an hour from Lisbon.

Your day begins at a prestigious estate whose wines have played a central role in establishing Setúbal’s international reputation. Here you will enjoy a guided visit followed by a tasting of the region’s most famous style, Moscatel de Setúbal, a complex, beautifully aromatic fortified wine known for its notes of citrus peel, spice and aged oak.

From here, you continue deeper into the rolling vineyards around Azeitão and Palmela, an area equally respected for its refined dry wines. A second visit introduces you to the work of a long-established family producer, where you will taste a selection of wines that showcase the elegance and versatility of the region.

Between tastings, time is set aside for a relaxed lunch in a charming local restaurant in Azeitão, allowing you to enjoy the region’s food culture in an authentic village setting.

Following lunch, you will visit one more winery to enjoy a final tasting of four premium wines to round off your day. In the late afternoon, your driver will return you to Lisbon and the remainder of the afternoon and evening is free for you to enjoy the city or relax at your hotel.

Day four of your tour is departure day. After a leisurely breakfast, check out of your hotel. If you are departing on an evening flight, please let us know as we can happily give you our best suggestions for spending an extra day in Lisbon!

What can I say? This hotel far exceeded my expectations - a real city centre gem, I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Lisbon. The vibe was so relaxed, I only wish I had stayed longer to spend another afternoon at the spa.
