Trip Summary

On day two, your English-speaking driver/guide will meet you at your hotel for a full day transported and guided tour of the Prosecco wine region. You will be taken to three small authentic wineries, to enjoy three different types of experiences.

One will be focused on the technical aspect of the Prosecco making process and will be followed by tastings of two glasses of Prosecco. Another one will be focused on the emotional aspect, with explanations of the differences between the Prosecco wines in terms of grape varieties and flavours. You will also have the amazing opportunity to take part in a blind tasting! The third visit will take place in a traditional Cantina based in the heart of the characteristic Prosecco hills and will of course also be followed by the obligatory tasting session.

Your guide will also take you to a local “casera”, a small cabin perched in the Prosecco vineyards, where you will enjoy a delicious picnic lunch with stunning views. You will stop at a truly unique location, a “hostelry without a host” on top of a hill which offers amazing views across the vineyards. Here, the owner is rarely seen. Instead, in this cute hut, you will be able to help yourself to bread and salami, putting your money in the tin. There is also a Prosecco vending machine if you are thirsty! Please note that if you are travelling on the four day break, we will arrange for you to stop there on day three for logistical reasons.

After such an enlightening day, a three course traditional Venetian dinner will be served in the hotel’s elegant restaurant. Please note that drinks have not been included as part of the package and can be ordered and paid for locally on the evening.

If you choose to stay for a fourth night and book our four day package, a chauffeured vehicle will meet you at the hotel after breakfast on the morning of day three, and you will be taken to Valdobbiadene for a tour and tastings in a premium winery. After your tour, you will be taken to renowned local restaurant for a delicious three course lunch with drinks. The restaurant is nestled at the heart of the Prosecco vineyards and boasts breath-taking views.

Outline Itinerary

Day Two

• After breakfast, you will be met at the hotel by a chauffeured vehicle, which will accompany you throughout the day. Your tour day will comprise of:
• A technical visit followed by two tastings in an authentic Cantina
• A tour at a second Prosecco winery with a fascinating blind tasting.
• A third visit with tastings at another winery in the heart of the characteristic Prosecco hills.
• A delicious picnic lunch will be served in the Prosecco vineyards.
• A stop at the Osteria senza Oste and the Prosecco vending machine. Please note that if you are travelling on the four day break, we will arrange for you to stop there on day three for logistical reasons.
• After such an enlightening day, a delicious three course Venetian dinner (excluding drinks) will be served in the hotel’s elegant restaurant.

Day Three (Optional)

• After breakfast, a chauffeured vehicle will meet you at the hotel and accompany you throughout the morning.
• Enjoy a tour and tastings at another premium Prosecco estate of the Valdobbiadene area.
• You will then be taken to a local restaurant where a three course lunch paired with wines will be served.
• After being taken back to the hotel, the remainder of the day will be free for you to do as you please. You may wish to enjoy the hotel’s superb spa. Alternatively, you may prefer to wander around Treviso, exploring the shops and boutiques.

Final Day

• After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the hotel.

(ii) The outline itinerary is indicative and is subject to minor changes depending on supplier availability. Availability cannot be guaranteed until we have received a confirmed booking, together with the deposit payment (or payment in full where the dates of travel are in less than 60 days). If the named accommodation / visits are not available, we will endeavour to find suitable alternatives of a similar grade; this may be subject to a supplement or a rebate depending on the price available.

Package Prices

• These prices are per person and based on two people travelling together and sharing a twin or double room.
• These are realistic guide prices, based on travel in standard season (usually April to the end of October). Discounts often apply for travel out of season (usually November to the end of March) or if there are more than two of you travelling together. Please let us know your preferred travel dates for a definitive price.
• Although we propose specific hotels as part of our standard packages, we enjoy excellent relationships and preferential rates at the majority of the hotels in each of our featured destinations. Therefore if you would prefer to stay in a different hotel, this can be arranged. Please contact us for the relevant supplements/discounts.
• Other room grades are available at most of the hotels that we work with. Just let us know which hotel you prefer and we will send you the relevant supplements for the various room grades.
• Single supplements and extra night prices are available upon request.

• Cooking lesson in Venice: Italy is well known for its delicious cuisine. Learn great Venetian recipes by taking a two hour cooking lesson, starting at the colorful Rialto Food Market. You will then learn how to transform these fresh local products into a mouthwatering dish.
• Verona is just two hours away from Treviso by train: It takes just two hours to get to Verona from Treviso by train, and many of our guests like to spend a night or two experiencing the delights of the City of Romeo and Juliet. We work with a large number of 3, 4 and 5* hotels in the city and would be very pleased to discuss your accommodation requirements with you.
