Contact UsMaison Pic in Valence is a family affair. Anne-Sophie’s grandfather, André won three Michelin stars for the restaurant, and Anne-Sophie’s father followed in his footsteps. Although Anne-Sophie did not initially embrace the family trade, she is now a world renowned chef and one of the most decorated Michelin-starred female Chefs in the world, currently holding eight Michelin stars across her five restaurants. With this package, stay at the famous Maison Pic in Valence itself, and experience a triple Michelin-starred dinner at the Anne-Sophie Pic restaurant as well as enjoying tours and tastings at a range of premium Northern Rhône wineries.
Upon arrival in Valence on the first day, check into your preferred room at the luxurious Maison Pic. The remainder of the day will be free for you to relax and enjoy your sumptuous surroundings. In the evening, an unforgettable ten course menu, expertly paired with wines chosen by the sommelier, will be served in the Anne-Sophie Pic restaurant.
After breakfast on the morning of day two, you will be met by a specialist driver/guide, who will accompany you throughout the day on a private basis. You will firstly be taken to the iconic town of Tain l’Hermitage and its surroundings, where you will learn all about the sought-after Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas, Saint-Péray and Saint-Joseph wines. You will firstly visit a local domaine, where you will be taken on a cellar tour followed by an extensive tasting session of the domaine’s wines. Following the visit, you will be taken to the Vineum wine bar and restaurant in Tain l’Hermitage, owned by the well regarded Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aîné. Here, you will enjoy a tutored tasting session of three Hermitage wines, followed by a delicious lunch paired with two additional Jaboulet wines. In the afternoon, you will visit another winery where you will follow a full tour of the wine making facilities and take part in a tasting session of the estates’ wines. You will be taken back to your hotel at the end of the tour. The evening will then be free for you to do as you please.
For those opting for the four day package, your guide will return on day three to accompany you on a second day of tours and tastings in the Northern Rhône. This time you will explore Ampuis and its surroundings and discover the Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie wines. Your day will include visits at three carefully-selected wineries, with tours of the facilities and tastings of the unique wines of these appellations. An authentic five course lunch paired with wines will be served in a charming restaurant overlooking the Rhône river . Your driver will take you back to your hotel at the end of the day.
