Trip Summary

On the morning of day two, bicycles will be waiting for you at the Château. Today, you will cycle through the charming vineyards of the Côte de Beaune. You will firstly cycle to the famous village of Puligny-Montrachet, where you will be welcomed as the guests at one of the biggest names in the village. The experience will include an hour spent in the vineyards, learning all about the work undertaken here, before returning to the winery, where you will enjoy a tour of their estate and cellars. Following the tour, you will be invited into their tasting room, where a broad tasting of six wines from the Côte de Beaune will be offered alongside a delightful three course lunch. The owners and staff are very gracious hosts and the wine tastings and meal always prove both enjoyable and enlightening.

In the afternoon, cycle to the magnificent Château de Chassagne-Montrachet. Here, you will enjoy a full tour of the Château’s beautiful cellars dating back to the 11th and 14th Centuries, and your tour will conclude with tastings of five wines from across the region. We would be delighted to suggest a restaurant and reserve you a table for dinner this evening if required.

On the morning of day three, you will be met at the Châteaul by a pre-booked and pre-paid taxi, which will take you to the charming town of Beaune. Here, you will be welcomed at the estate of a famous producer. As well as having a full tour of the winery, you will taste six wines from vineyards located in different Burgundy villages.

After the tour, your taxi will return to take you to Aloxe-Corton. You will be welcomed as the guests of the authentic family-owned Domaine Comte Sénard, where you will enjoy a visit of the vineyard, Les Clos des Meix, as well as the 13^th Century cellars. The visit will conclude with a three course traditional lunch, during which you will have the unique opportunity to taste six different wines, complemented further by comments from one the estate’s sommeliers.

You will then be taken to Vosne-Romanée, where you will end your day in style with a VIP tour of a premium winery, which will include a visit of the cellars, explanation of the wine-making process and tastings of five different wines produced at the estate. You will be taken back to your hotel at the end of the day. As always, we would be pleased to reserve you a table for dinner if required.

After a leisurely breakfast, on day four check out of the hotel.

Day Two of your Burgundy Wine Tasting Tour

• A visit to one of the biggest names in the quaint village of Puligny-Montrachet. Here, you will enjoy a fascinating vineyard workshop and a full visit of the estate followed by a delicious three course lunch with six tastings.
• A visit to the breath-taking Château de Chassagne-Montrachet for a full tour of the authentic cellars and tastings of five wines from across the region.
• Cycle back to the Château at the end of the day.
• We would be delighted to reserve you a table for dinner this evening if required.

Day Three of your Burgundy Wine Tasting Tour (Optional)

• After breakfast, you will enjoy a full day of tours and tastings in the Côte de Nuits vineyards. Your tour day will comprise of:
• Pre-booked and pre-paid taxi transfers between Meursault and Beaune, Beaune and Aloxe-Corton, Aloxe-Corton and Vosne-Romanée as well as Vosne-Romanée and Meursault.
• A tour and tastings at a premium estate in Beaune.
• A wine tasting lunch in Aloxe-Corton including six different wines, as well as a visit of the estate’s vineyards and 13^th Century cellars.
• A VIP Tour of the cellars with an explanation of the wine-making process at a Vosne-Romanée domaine, followed by tastings of five of their wines.
• You will be taken back to the Château at the end of the day.
• As always, we would be pleased to reserve you a table for dinner if required.

Final Day of your Burgundy Wine Tasting Tour

• After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the hotel.

• These prices are per person and based on two people travelling together and sharing a twin or double room.
• These are realistic guide prices, based on travel in standard season (usually April to the end of October). Discounts often apply for travel out of season (usually November to the end of March) or if there are more than two of you travelling together. Please let us know your preferred travel dates for a definitive price.
• Although we propose specific hotels as part of our standard packages, we enjoy excellent relationships and preferential rates at the majority of the hotels in each of our featured destinations. Therefore if you would prefer to stay in a different hotel, this can be arranged. Please contact us for the relevant supplements/discounts.
