Flexible Two or Three Night Turin Wine Tour

Trip Summary

After breakfast on day two, meet your English-speaking specialist driver/guide for a full day wine tour. There will be a maximum of eight guests on the tour. During the course of the day, your guide will reveal the secrets behind cultivating the Nebbiolo grape, visiting a variety of vineyards to see the appellation’s unique terroir first-hand. You will also enjoy full tours and tastings at two wineries. At a characterful restaurant in a picturesque village, a three course lunch will provide the opportunity to sample traditional Piedmontese dishes. Please note that drinks will not be included at lunch and can be ordered and paid for locally on the day. After spending some further time exploring the UNESCO hillsides and medieval villages, you will be taken back to Turin at the end of the day.

If you would like to stay an extra night in Turin, the four day break includes a further opportunity to taste the delights of the local cuisine. After breakfast, take a short walk to a cookery venue in the city centre for a fascinating and fun three hour experience as part of a small group. Under the expert tuition of an Italian Chef, you will prepare an authentic three course meal, using traditional ingredients such as pasta and the region’s famous truffles. You will then taste the fruits of your labour over a convivial three course lunch, served alongside a selection of local wines. After lunch, spend a relaxing afternoon at a charming wine bar, tasting three wines with platters of cheeses and meats. The evening will then be free to do as you please.

• After breakfast, you will be able to reach each destination on foot today. Your tour day will comprise of:
• A fun and fascinating cookery experience and lunch as part of a small group.
• A tasting session of three wines with local cheeses and meats in an authentic Italian wine bar.

Turin Wine Tour- Final Day

• After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the hotel.

The outline itinerary is indicative and is subject to minor changes depending on supplier availability. Availability cannot be guaranteed until we have received a confirmed booking, together with the deposit payment (or payment in full where the dates of travel are in less than 60 days). If the named accommodation / visits are not available, we will endeavour to find suitable alternatives of a similar grade; this may be subject to a supplement or a rebate depending on the price available.

• These prices are per person and based on two people travelling together and sharing a twin or double room.
• These are realistic guide prices, based on travel in standard season (usually April to the end of October). Discounts often apply for travel out of season (usually November to the end of March) or if there are more than two of you travelling together. Please let us know your preferred travel dates for a definitive price.
• Although we propose specific hotels as part of our standard packages, we enjoy excellent relationships and preferential rates at the majority of the hotels in each of our featured destinations. Therefore if you would prefer to stay in a different hotel, this can be arranged. Please contact us for the relevant supplements/discounts.
• Other room grades are available at most of the hotels that we work with. Just let us know which hotel you prefer and we will send you the relevant supplements for the various room grades.
• Single supplements and extra night prices are available upon request.
