Given the wide range of travel options, our standard package prices do not include travel. The principal options are as follows:
The nearest international airport is Barcelona, which is situated only 13km from the city centre. Many major flight routes around the world connect directly to Barcelona, including direct flights from New York, Boston, Chicago, LA and San Francisco. If flying from the UK, you will find direct flights from all of the major London airports, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol, Belfast and Leeds to Barcelona with a range of airlines including Ryanair, EasyJet, Vueling, Wizz Air and British Airways.
If travelling to Priorat, the closest is Reus airport, with direct flights possible from London Stansted or Luton, Manchester and Birmingham with Ryanair, Jet2 or EasyJet.
Grape Escapes is ATOL registered, number 10831 and we would be happy to book your flights at cost, however, a booking fee of £50 per person applies.

Barcelona’s international airport (Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport) is approximately 20 minutes by car from the city centre, with taxis typically costing between €30 and €45. For the most convenient and frequent option with departures every five minutes, it takes 35 minutes by shuttle bus straight to the centre (Plaça de Catalunya) with tickets starting at €10 per person. You can also take the train or metro from the airport to the city centre in approximately 30 minutes with costs starting from €5.90 per ticket.
Priorat is approximately 45 minutes from Reus airport and 1 hour 45 minutes from Barcelona’s international airport by car. The Penedès region is located approximately 50 minutes’ drive from Barcelona’s international airport and 1 hour’s drive from Reus airport. Given the remote nature of the region, car is the best way to travel here, and we will be happy to include airport transfers for you at additional cost. Alternatively, you may wish to hire a car – take a look at the competitive car hire search engine on our website for vehicle rental prices.

It is possible to travel from the UK to Barcelona by train thanks to convenient rail network links through Europe. You may wish to consider the Eurostar from London St Pancras to Paris Gare du Nord and then changing to take the train directly from Paris Gare de Lyon all the way down to Barcelona-Sants train station. The whole journey would take approximately ten hours. Barcelona-Sants station is easily accessible to the city centre with a short 15–20-minute metro ride.

A great experience. Dealing with Giulia was a pleasure.
