Travel to Burgundy

Given the wide range of travel options, our standard package prices do not include travel. As a UK-based company, the below information is particularly relevent to our UK customers. However, we are able to arrange trips for customers from across the globe! The principal travel methods are detailed below:

Self -drive

Beaune is located around 5 ¾ hours’ drive from Calais, and therefore this travel method would be most suitable for our three night packages or long trips of a week or more that combine other regions, such as Champagne or Alsace. Please contact us for crossing prices with Eurotunnel or P&O Ferries. If you would prefer to travel from an alternative UK port, we can often arrange this. 

Eurostar (and onward rail from Paris)

Dijon is around 1 ½  hours from Paris by high-speed train, and a connecting train can take you to Beaune if required. This gives a total journey time of around 5 ½ hours from London. Grape Escapes can book your Eurostar and TGV travel for you if you wish.  The definitive cost of your Eurostar travel can be confirmed 120 days before you travel, when the tickets are released. Train prices increase as the departure date nears so early booking is recommended. Please contact us to request a detailed information sheet with hints and tips for obtaining the best-priced tickets.

Fly

The nearest airports are Geneva (around 150 km from Dijon) and Lyon Saint Expury (around 180 km from Dijon). There are direct flights from several British airports and other countries to both of these airports. Grape Escapes is ATOL registered, number 10831 and we would be happy to book your flights at cost, however a booking fee of £50 per person applies. Due to the long distances to Dijon from each airport, we would advise hiring a car for your stay.
